25 years later, we remember.

Today, our community came together to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and remember the families, first responders and communities forever changed by that day.

Chairman Kirk deViere attended the 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony at the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation.

Commissioners Pavan Patel and Henry Tyson attended the Town of Hope Mills, NC - Government 9/11 Tribute Ceremony, where they also shared remarks.

Today, we pause to remember, honor and reflect.

We will never forget.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, the Town of Hope Mills gathered for our annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony as we marked the 25th anniversary of the day that changed our nation forever.

We paused to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the service members who answered our nation’s call, and the countless families and communities whose lives were forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.

We were also honored by the presence of Cumberland County, NC Government Commissioners Henry Tyson and Pavan Patel, who reminded us that “Never Forget” is more than a phrase. It is also a call to remember where we were, what we were doing, and how we came together as Americans in the days that followed.

Twenty five years later, we remember the courage. We remember the sacrifice. We remember the unity.

And we recommit ourselves to honoring those who gave so much by supporting the first responders and service members who continue to protect and serve our communities and our nation today.

May we never forget those we lost.
May we never forget those who served.
May we never forget the strength we found in one another.

TOWN OF HOPE MILLS 9/11 TRIBUTE CEREMONY

The Town of Hope Mills invites our community to join us as we come together to remember, reflect, and pay tribute to the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

This year marks 25 years since the tragic events of 9/11, a day that forever changed our nation. While we remember the thousands of innocent lives lost, we also honor the extraordinary courage of our first responders, members of our Armed Forces, and everyday Americans whose acts of bravery, compassion, and sacrifice demonstrated the strength and resilience of our nation.
