In 1834 Colin MacRae sold nearly 600 acres to the Rockfish Manufacturing Company who built the mills which Hope Mills is now named for. By 1890, Hope Mills was one of the largest communities in Cumberland County and just a year later it was officially incorporated as a town. Alright folks-
The 2nd Annual Miss Hope Mills Cotton Pageant applications are ready for pick up at the Hope Mills Recreation Center.

The pageant will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 for ages 3 - 12 years old.

For ages 13 - 22 years old will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

There will be a mandatory rehearsal on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at South View High School.

The pageant will also be held in the South View High School Auditorium.

Five age groups:
3-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-16 and 17-22.

Cost: $30.00 per girl.

Queen and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runner up in each age group.

Also, sponsor award & Miss Photogenic ( awarded by the photographer)

Deadline: Friday, September 9, 2016 at 5:00 pm (no exceptions)

Come get your packet beginning Monday, July 11 - Friday, September 9, 2016.

Last year we had 58 contestants!

Ok everyone get ready. We have been approved to be able to have wineries and breweries as vendors for our events. Anyone knowing anyone that wants to vend at Ole Mill Days or Forth of July events please leave comment with address or Email address. Those that have already vended with us will receive emails in the future. Thanks for all your support.

The event turned out wonderful. We want to thank all our Vendors for coming out. Hope you enjoyed the event. Keep this weekend open for next year. It is the Third weekend of October. Thanks for turning in your surveys. We will not shut does this sight look for future events. There will definitely be a Forth of July event and possibly something for Christmas.
