Throughout the month of April, Hoover Fire Department personnel participated in live-fire training at the Hoover Fire Training Center.

All department personnel attended an 8-hour training day focused on reinforcing fundamental fireground skills, including SCBA operations, firefighter self-rescue, ground ladders, and other essential tasks used during emergency operations.

This training helps keep our crews prepared, reinforces safe fireground operations, and supports the skills needed to serve our community.

As National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week comes to an end, the Hoover Fire Department proudly recognizes all Dispatchers for their service, but especially our own.

These men and women are often the first voice our citizens hear in an emergency, providing calm, guidance, and critical support when it matters most.

We are incredibly thankful for their service and proud to have them as part of our team. Please join us in showing our appreciation for the tremendous job they do each and every day.
