Reminder that Senior Assessment Freezes and all other exemptions need to be turned in to our office or the county office. The freeze needs returned by the end of this month. Also, for anybody who turned 65 this year please make sure you have signed up for the Senior Exemption. If you have questions please call the office at 283-6868.

The Grant Township Offices will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. Also the Danville Courthouse and Annex.

Assessment change notices appeared in local papers last week. Every taxpayer has 30 days from the date of publication to file a complaint with the Board of Review. All complaints are due in the Danville office by close of business on November 15th, 2021. You can find a form online through the Vermilion County website, click on Board of review, or you can get a form from our office. Contact us at 283-6868 if you have any questions.

RE: Senior freeze, disability forms and Owner Occupied cards.

Forms should be arriving from the Supervisor of Assessments office for the above exemptions. If you would like our office to help you fill out these forms for you, we will need copies of your 2020 Income information. This includes your 2020 social security 1099 or income tax return. Also if you have a disability card we will need this. Please fill out as much as you can on the paperwork. Anything you aren't sure of we can fill it in. Our office hours are 7:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 4:00. We are closed from 12:00 to 1:00. If you have any questions you can contact our office at 283-6868.
