Raccoon Creek State Park is one of Pennsylvania’s largest and most visited state parks. It began as a Recreational Demonstration Area operated by the National Park Service in the 1930s during the Cilvilian Conservation Corps (CCC) era. The park encompasses 7,572 arces and features the beautiful 101-acre Raccoon Lake, the famous Wildflower Reserve, the historic Frankfort Mineral Spring, cabins, campgrounds, and 44 miles of scenic trails. Calling all Girl Scouts and their parents! Discover the amazing array of life that lives in Raccoon Creek. Scouts will identify aquatic critters and help us to determine water quality. Owls of Raccoon Creek State Park
Stop by the Wildflower Reserve Interpretive Center on Saturday, September 5th at 1PM to learn about the owls that call Raccoon Creek State Park home. This short 30-minute program will teach you about these unique nighttime hunters and some of their amazing abilities. The Wildflower Reserve Interpretive Center is located at the eastern end of Raccoon Creek State Park along US 30. Address is 482 US 30 Clinton, PA 15026.

As of today, 9/3/26, the beach at Raccoon Creek has re-opened for swimming. The food concession will be open Friday through Monday for the holiday weekend. Stop by for some ice cream, cold drinks or one of their many hot food items this Labor Day weekend!

For centuries, people have gathered local plants and infused them with hot water to make beverages. During this indoor program, attendees will learn about local plants used historically to make drinks like tea with a focus on local plants. Free Program. No pets permitted.
