8-6-25. BCFD took delivery of new turn out gear. This was made possible by the use of an OEDA grant, Cherokee Strip grant, and funds from local donations and department fund raising. Officially gear is to be replaced or updated every ten years. This is very difficult for most rural departments but we are blessed with outstanding community support and are proud to serve Boise City and the surrounding area.

An OEDA REAP grant made it possible for the Goodwell Fire Department to purchase new extraction tools. It has been great working with Drew Smith with the FD and Texas County.
Thank you Oklahoma Legislators for your continued support of the State funded REAP grant program.

Three OEDA REAP grants made it possible to complete a second fire station for the Balko Rural Fire Department. Under the leadership of Fire chief Robert Marshall, this team of extraordinary volunteers has increased their capacity to serve their region. "I'm honored to work with Chief Marshall and find ways to support his vision for increase fire protection in Beaver County," says Grant Administrator Jennifer Firgard. Thank you Oklahoma Legislators for your continued support of the State funded REAP grant program. Rural Oklahoma heavily relies on this grant.
