On World Kindness Day, we’re reminded of the profound impact that small acts of kindness can have, especially in the lives of children who have experienced trauma.

At every CAC, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s a comforting smile, a warm blanket in a difficult moment, or the unwavering support of a multidisciplinary team, each gesture helps build safety, trust, and healing.

Have Safe and Happy Halloween!

Don't forget to keep our little ghouls and goblins safe.
🎃Remind kids to look both way before crossing and to never crossed between parked cars.
🎃Young children should always be accompanied by an adult.
🎃Don't let kids eat candy until it has been inspected.
🎃Check for choking hazards and allergens.
🎃Olders kids should go in groups if no adult is available.
🎃Stick to well-lit areas, take a flashlight or glow sticks if you have them.
🎃Use a buddy system, don't let kids go door-to-door alone.
🎃Children should not enter a stranger's home or vehicle.
🎃Drivers: slow down! Drive with extreme caution.
🎃Have Fun!

A HUGE thank you to The Shapira Foundation – HugPatrol for granting us 180 stuffed animals!!🧸

Every child who comes for an assessment at our center and any sibling who accompanies them receives a plushie to hug, squeeze, and take a little piece of comfort home. For the kids we serve, a simple plushie can bring a sense of calm, security, and a much-needed smile during challenging moments. Every stuffed friend reminds them that they are seen, valued, cared for, and never alone.
