🎉This is what community building across Oregon looks like!

122 self-advocates, friends, and family members from 5 Local Alliances and 6 counties — with folks traveling from as far east as Union — came together at OMSI for a day full of connection, self-advocacy, creativity, and fun!

From tie-dying to exploring awesome exhibits, the day was all about building community, sharing experiences, and making memories 🙌✨

A huge THANK YOU to our friends at Oregon Self Advocacy Coalition for sponsoring this incredible event and helping make this day possible! And to our wonderful EOSSB staff and partners at Community Access Services for coordinating travel arrangements and supporting our customers and their families.

Registration is OPEN for the third annual Self-Advocacy Convention of Oregon! https://thearcoregon.org/convention/register/

The 2026 Self-Advocacy Convention will take place on Tuesday, November 17 at the Hilton Portland Downtown in Portland.

This will be an Oregon-specific self-advocate event leading up to The Arc of the United States’s National Convention on November 18-20.

Financial assistance is available for self-advocates, their families, and supporters to attend. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event for self-advocates: register now!
