Myth: “If I’m taking medication, I don’t need therapy.”
Fact: Medication can ease symptoms and help lay the groundwork for healing, but talk therapy helps you build coping skills, work through what’s underneath, and form habits that last. For many people, the two work best together, each supporting the other.
Every person’s care looks different, so decisions about medication are best made by consulting your prescriber. But our reccomendation is that you utilize mental health counseling to maximize your recovery.
If you're ready to take the next step, book an appointment today at samaritancounselingcenterhawaii.org (link in bio). We accept insurance and offer telehealth and in-person visits.
