The dedication of the Mililani softball field in honor of Michelle Kidani recognizes her decades of service, leadership, and commitment to the Mililani community. I was honored to join family, friends, community members, and supporters for this special occasion and to present a certificate commemorating this well-deserved recognition. Senator Kidani’s lasting contributions to public education and our community have made a meaningful impact, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

What a night at the Mililani High School Homecoming Game! As a proud Mililani alumna, it was especially meaningful to return to my alma mater and see our students, families, alumni, and community come together to celebrate school spirit. Despite the rain, the Trojans were determined to win and showed incredible heart on the field. Congratulations to the Trojans on an incredible victory over Campbell High School! Proud to be part of a community that continues to show up, support one another, and shine both on and off the field.

I recently had the pleasure of welcoming West Virginia State Senator Patricia Rucker and her family to the Hawaiʻi State Capitol for a guided tour.

During their visit, I had the opportunity to showcase key areas of the Capitol and discuss public service, the legislative process, and the important role state governments play in serving their communities. We also had the chance to meet with Hawaiʻi Acting Lieutenant Governor Keith Regan and exchange perspectives on issues affecting states across the nation.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships between state leaders, share ideas, and gain insight into the unique challenges and successes each state faces. I appreciated the opportunity to connect with Senator Rucker and discuss leadership, governance, and effective ways to serve our constituents.

The creativity and teamwork on display during Mililani High School's Homecoming Week were truly impressive. I was honored to help judge the class floats and banners and was amazed by the imagination, craftsmanship, and dedication that went into each display. Having my children join me for the float judging made the experience even more meaningful. Mahalo to everyone who helped make Homecoming a wonderful reflection of the spirit and strength of the Mililani High School community!

The Mililani High School Homecoming Lip Sync Contest is a longtime tradition that gives students the opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and class pride through entertaining performances. I was delighted to serve as a judge and was amazed by the energy and talent on display as students brought this year's “Tale as Old as Time” theme to life. Mahalo to all of the students, advisors, and staff whose hard work made the event such a memorable success!

There’s a snake in my boot! I had a blast participating in the Mililani High School Homecoming Parade and celebrating this year's homecoming theme, "Once Upon a Trojan," with all of my friends from the world of Toy Story. Seeing the creativity of the floats and connecting with students, families, alumni, and community members, the day was filled with fun, laughter, and incredible school spirit. Dressed as Jessie for the occasion, I felt like a kid again and was reminded how special it is to be part of a community that comes together with so much pride, tradition, and heart. You've got a friend in me!

Mililani Complex Schools Day is an annual professional development event that brings together educators, staff, administrators, and community partners from across the Mililani Complex to collaborate, share best practices, and strengthen support for our keiki.

It was a pleasure to join this year's event and hear inspiring remarks from Tony Gaston of Castle & Cooke Hawaiʻi and Ernest Muh, Complex Area Superintendent for the Leilehua-Mililani-Waialua Complex Area. Their messages on leadership, service, and investing in the next generation underscored the importance of strong partnerships in supporting student success. I enjoyed learning about the innovative work taking place throughout our schools and seeing the commitment to collaboration, professional growth, and educational excellence.
