Ua mau ke ea o ka ʻāina i ka pono. ❤️

Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea commemorates the restoration of the Hawaiian Kingdom’s sovereignty in 1843. Kauikeaouli, King Kamehameha III, established the day as a celebration of ea, the life, sovereignty, and enduring spirit of our lāhui.

Ea lives wherever our kaiāulu gathers to share culture, pass on ʻike, support local creators, and care for the places that connect us.

Here in Our Kakaʻako, we honor the history that grounds us and the people carrying it forward.

We're giving away prizes from the local businesses that make Honolulu Night Market and Our Kakaʻako what they are, including daily winners and a Grand Prize winner who'll take home a Honolulu Night Market Experience Package filled with goodies from participating vendors and Our Kaka‘ako merchants. 🎁

Hauʻoli Lā Makuakāne to all the dads, grandpas, uncles, father figures, and everyday role models in our kaiāulu. 💙

Some of the best memories are made on Dad's shoulders, cruising through the neighborhood in a wagon, or hand in hand, discovering something new together. 💫
