Stay calm. Be prepared. 🌧️

Tropical Depression Two-C is being monitored as it moves through the Central Pacific. Heavy rainfall, flooding, mudslides, and dangerous surf are possible across portions of Hawaiʻi this weekend.

Now is a good time to replenish your emergency supplies, especially anything used during Hurricane/Tropical Storm Lala. Residents are encouraged to have a 14-day supply of food, water, and medications on hand.

Forecasts can change, so continue monitoring local news and official updates.

The Hawaiʻi Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Insurance Division recommends documenting damage, taking reasonable steps to prevent further damage, contacting your insurance company, following your insurer’s instructions, and keeping records throughout the process.

Hurricane season is a reminder to stay calm, make a plan, and build your emergency kit before you need it.
Start with the essentials: 💧 Water, 🥫 non-perishable food, 📻 an emergency radio, 🔦 flashlights, 🩹 first-aid supplies, 🔋 backup power, 🧼 sanitation supplies, and other items to help keep you and your loved ones safe.
