Waiʻanae Stabbing Attempted Murder; Male Arrested

On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a 20-year-old male and a family member was involved in an argument at a residence in Waiʻanae.

During the argument, the suspect stabbed the victim, causing injuries.

The incident was not reported until June 19, 2026. The victim has been medically treated and released from the hospital.

District 8 patrol officers located and arrested the 20-year-old male without incident for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Gun-Involved Attempted Murder Investigation on Hopaka St; Suspect Charged

Today, June 19, 2026, this case was conferred with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. The suspect, 19-year-old male Musiq Tago, was charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree, two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, and firearm offenses.

Bail was set at $1,500,000.

🚔 HPD District 8 officers recently recovered nine illegal e-dirt bikes, issued 12 citations, and arrested five juveniles for driving without a license during a traffic safety enforcement operation across West Oʻahu.

These efforts support safer roads by addressing dangerous riding behaviors and reminding the public that e-dirt bikes are not street legal. 🚦

Gun-Involved Attempted Murder Investigation on Hopaka St; Suspect Arrested

As the investigation continued, detectives from the Homicide and Strategic Enforcement Detail identified an additional suspect involved in the Hopaka Street attempted murder investigation.

Through the investigation, detectives determined that after exiting abusiness on Hopaka Street, the suspect pointed a firearm at two victims and pulled the trigger; however, neither victim was struck.

On June 18, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., District 8 Crime Reduction Unit officers located, apprehended, and arrested a 19-year-old male suspect in Waiʻanae.

The suspect was arrested for Attempted Murder in the First Degree, two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, and firearm offenses.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Gun-Involved Murder Investigation Near Ke‘eaumoku St. & Kapi‘olani Blvd; Suspect Charged

Today, June 17, 2026, this case was conferred with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.

The suspect, Detor Sirom, was charged for Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Murder in the Second Degree, and Place to Keep Pistol.

His bail is set at $1,000,000.

Unattended Death Investigation on North School St

On June 16, 2026, just before 7 a.m., District 5 patrol officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male outside a business located on North School Street.

A 68-year-old male was found deceased at the scene with apparent injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Gun-Involved Attempted Murder Investigation on Hopaka St; Suspect Charged

On June 15, 2026, the Hopaka Street attempted murder case was conferred and the suspect, TJ Tatashy, was charged at 6:50 p.m. for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and firearm offenses.

His bail was set at $300,000.
