Kauai 8/18/26: Westbound lane closure on Kaumualii Hwy in Waimea between Russian Fort Elizabeth and Alawai Road tonight Tuesday, August 18 from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for emergency guardrail repair. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Update Maui 8/17/26 8 PM: The emergency electrical work has been completed.

Maui 8/17/26 12:30 PM: Around 1:30 p.m., the traffic signal at Hansen Road and Maui Veterans Highway near the old sugar mill will be turned off to allow HECO to conduct emergency electrical repairs at a nearby pole. The power shut off may last up to 30 minutes. Traffic controllers will assist motorists.
