In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, Headquarters and Service Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. As a result, certain posts have been removed or modified to maintain consistency with federal guidance and uphold the integrity of our official communication channels.

MARFORPAC in Tahiti!

From Aug. 26 – Sept 9, 2023, with Headquarters and Service and Battalion, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, and members of the Marine Infantry Regiment in French Polynesia, French Armed Forces, participated in various bilateral training events across Tahiti, French Polynesia. During the bilateral training, the Marines and members of the French Armed Forces partook in close quarter combat training, Military Operations on Urban Terrain training, water survival training, and live-fire training in order to strengthen relationships with the region.

U.S. Indo-Pacific Command is co-hosting the DoD’s premiere service member-centered innovation competition, which will occur in Oahu on November 2nd. Marines and Sailors have the opportunity to pitch their innovation idea online to be selected as finalists who will present to a panel of innovation specialists. The winners will receive an MSM, a military school of choice, and have the opportunity to have their idea implemented in the Service / DoD.

This Saturday, March 4th, 0800-1130 voulnteers are needed on Camp H.M. Smith to remove invasive weeds and plants to improve native wildlife habitats and help keep our community clean and healthy.

Letters of Appriciation will be awarded to all active duty participants.

Your input is needed before 30 November, 2022, in the 20-30 minute Out-of-Cycle Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) Living Pattern Survey (link provided below) to ensure service members and their families are able to purchase the same level of goods and services.

Your input about which non-housing goods and services you normally purchase will inform the Overseas COLA (OCOLA) you receive and ensure you maintain an equivalent level of purchasing power.
