NAVAC Hawaii is the Navy’s single touch-point for all facilities engineering prod

ucts and services in Hawaii. It is located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. NAVFAC Hawaii is an Echelon IV command reporting to NAVFAC Pacific also located on Oahu, Hawaii. The command employs 1,375+ highly-skilled civilian federal workers and 200 military personnel including Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officers and enlisted Seabees, as well as Air Force officers and enlisted personnel. They are distributed throughout the Pearl Harbor area as well as Leeward and Windward portions of Oahu, with a small number of employees at Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai. NAVFAC Hawaii’s headquarters building is located on a 71-acre compound off of Radford Drive near the Navy Exchange at Pearl Harbor. Services are delivered through in-house shop forces and a broad range of contract vehicles as well as reach-back through the NAVFAC organization to access additional expertise and contracting vehicles. The Commanding Officer of NAVFAC Hawaii also serves as Navy Region Hawaii's Regional Engineer.

Attention NAVFAC Hawaii Employees:
Due to severe impacts from the storm, as well as state and county office, court, and school closures, NAVFAC Hawaii has authorized situational telework for employees on Monday, Aug. 17.

Please note: There are also reports of power outages across the island. Employees planning to telework should consider internet connectivity and their ability to maintain mission requirements, and coordinate with their supervisors.

Hawai’i is currently under a statewide Brown Water Advisory following Hurricane Lala.

Heavy rainfall and storm runoff can carry sewage, bacteria, chemicals and other pollutants into coastal waters and streams.

🚫 Stay out of brown or discolored water. Avoid swimming, surfing, fishing, wading or other recreational activities in affected waters.

Strong winds, heavy rain, dangerous surf and flooding are possible. Conditions will worsen this afternoon and evening. As a reminder, regardless of potential impacts of the storm, make sure to review your emergency plan.

🔶 Check your emergency kits and fill up on supplies. 14 days food, water, medication.
🔶 Check in with family and friends: how you will get in contact and where you will go during an emergency or evacuation?
🔶 Know your zone: Check if you are in a flood prone area or exposed to strong winds.
🔶 Prepare your home: Trim trees, clean gutters, seal gaps, bring in loose outdoor items.
