Veterans Recognition Luncheon this Sat., Aug. 29, from 11:30AM–2:00PM at the Maui Beach Hotel Rainbow Ballroom.
We are hoping to find and honor our Korean War and Vietnam veterans. If you know of any veterans, family members, or friends who may be interested in attending, please reach out to them and encourage them to join us. Korean War veterans and one guest are sponsored. We would love to fill the room with our veteran ʻohana and give these veterans the recognition they deserve.❤️

This workshop centers women veterans and the providers who support them through counterstory, challenging dominant representations of gender, service, and care. We encourage providers and allies to attend to share their own stories, disrupt stereotypes, and learn more about the challenges veterans face in claiming and sharing their narratives.
Participants will:
- Write a counterstory narrative disrupting stereotypes
- Develop a focused personal narrative on gender, service, or caregiving
- Identify shared tensions and strengths across roles
Facilitated by: Jacqlyn Cope, Collateral Journal
Designed for: Community Providers, Community Members, Employers, Educators, and Students
