Installation of new traffic signals is underway along Dillingham Boulevard from Middle Street to Kokea Street.

Crews are currently installing new mast arms onto drilled foundations. Concrete is poured to form the foundation, and after curing, the vertical pole and horizontal mast arm are bolted into place. Once completed, the intersections will feature upgraded traffic signal infrastructure including new signal poles, controller cabinets, CCTV cameras, and cables.

Crews recently removed six spans of 46kV electrical cable from overhead poles between Puuhale Road and Kalihi Street.

The first video shows our contractor removing de‑energized high‑voltage overhead conductors.

The second video shows crews coiling the conductor onto a wire‑reel machine for safe handling.

New underground 46kV cables are installed and energized.

Mahalo to our contractors for their continued commitment to safety!
