Acting Lieutenant Governor Keith Regan and Acting Second Lady Lynn Araki-Regan joined Gold Star mothers and families on Sunday, September 27, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific for a solemn ceremony honoring fallen service members and the loved ones who carry their memory forward.

As families carried their loved ones’ boots to the base of Lady Columbia, the tribute offered a poignant reminder of lives of service, enduring love, and the profound cost of sacrifice.

Their loved ones are remembered with gratitude, and their families remain in the hearts of Hawaiʻi’s community.

Acting Lieutenant Governor Keith A. Regan joined family, friends, and fellow service members at Camp H.M. Smith to celebrate the promotion of Jamielyn G. Thompson to brigadier general. He delivered remarks and had the honor of helping pin her new rank during the ceremony.
