QUEST (Medicaid) rules are changing for many adults ages 19–64! To keep your coverage, you may need to report hours for work, volunteering, or school.

Kōkua and AlohaCare are committed to making sure no one in our community faces these changes alone.

What you can do right now:

✅ Check your status and learn more at medquest.hawaii.gov.
✅ Register an online Med-QUEST account to make reporting quick and easy.
✅ Keep an eye out for your pink envelope in the mail!
✅ Stay updated on local community resources and timeline updates at discover.alohacare.org/staycovered

*Note: You do not need to meet the 80-hour requirement every month. Renewing members only need to meet it during one of the 6 months before renewal. New applicants need to meet it during the month before they apply.

Take these key steps now so Med-QUEST and your health plan can reach you:

💜 September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month💜

Gynecologic cancers can affect the cervix, ovaries, uterus, va**na, or v***a. Each type is different, but knowing your body can help you notice when something does not feel right.

Talk with your health care provider if you notice changes such as:

💜 Unusual va**nal bleeding
💜 Ongoing pelvic pain or pressure
💜 Bloating or feeling full quickly
💜 Changes that are new or unusual for you

You know your body best. Regular checkups and honest conversations with your health care provider are important ways to care for your health.

KKV’s Maternal and Child Health BCCCP program offers free cervical and breast cancer screenings for those who qualify. You may qualify if you are a woman with low income and have no insurance or insurance that does not provide enough coverage.

Cervical cancer screenings are available for those ages 21 to 64. Breast cancer screenings are available for those ages 40 to 64.

Knowing what’s normal for your body can help you notice when something changes. Learn the signs of gynecologic cancer and talk with your health care provider about any concerns. Awareness and early detection can make all the difference.
