Simple actions like using strong, unique passwords, enabling multifactor authentication, keeping devices updated, and staying alert for phishing attempts can make a meaningful difference.

Cybersecurity is a technology issue, as well as a shared responsibility.

The Campaign Spending Commission (CSC) – an administratively attached agency of DAGS – has a mission to maintain the integrity and transparency of the campaign finance process by enforcing the law, educating the public, administering public financing, and training campaign committees in order to encourage compliance. The State Office of Elections (administratively attached to DAGS) closed a little early today due to a fire at a nearby junkyard. The office closed at 3:45 p.m. Thank you for understanding. We hope and expect to reopen tomorrow at normal time.

Archives Month is a nationwide initiative to raise awareness about archives and role it plays in people’s lives. This year, the Hawaiʻi State Archives at the Department of Accounting and General Services chose Waikīkī as its theme. Join the archives on web (https://ags.hawaii.gov/archives/) and social media every day in October for nostalgic images of Waikīkī. We look forward to celebrating a piece of Hawaiʻi’s history with you!

Christine wrote to say, “I just wanted to send a quick mahalo nui! I started watching the 2008 Leilehua–Kahuku state championship game, and I honestly wasn’t prepared for how emotional it would be to see it again. I was there that night, and it brought back the noise, the excitement, the crowd, the whole feeling of being inside Aloha Stadium for one of those unforgettable moments. What you are restoring is so much more than old footage. These are pieces of our lives. We’re going to marvel, laugh, cry, and be filled with happiness seeing these memories come back to life. Thank you for taking this on, and please thank anyone working alongside you too. It means more than I can put into words right now.”

Everyone else, if you aren’t familiar with this, then—a few days ago, we announced that more than 1,000 videos from Aloha Stadium’s Stadium Stars collection are now available to stream for free online. You’ll find high school football, baseball and soccer games, graduations and other community events from 1991 onwards.

More than 1,000 videos from Aloha Stadium’s Stadium Stars collection are now available to stream online at https://digitalarchives.hawaii.gov/browse/parent/ark:70111/4jSC?utm_source=chatgpt.com, marking a major milestone in the ongoing effort to preserve and share the stadium’s history. Since 1991, Stadium Stars has captured high school football, baseball and soccer games, graduations and other community events, preserving memories for generations of Hawaiʻi families, athletes and fans.

Through an ongoing collaboration between the Stadium Authority and the Department of Accounting and General Services’ (DAGS) Hawaiʻi State Archives, the collection has been digitized and made available to the community. With more than 1,000 videos now online, the Digital Archives Stadium Stars collection enables the public to revisit these moments from Aloha Stadium’s past, with additional recordings to be added as the digitization effort continues.
