Transfer Station
Casella will continue accepting trash and recyclables at the Transfer Station through June 27. We are working diligently to have an alternative option in place by July 4.

Updates will be posted on the Town of Richmond website and page as additional information becomes available.

Town Brush Pit
Effective immediately, the brush pit on East Lake Road will be open to Richmond and Canadice residents on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Town Board is actively exploring ways to improve access to this facility while maintaining responsible use of taxpayer dollars and minimizing labor costs. Our goal is to continue providing this valuable service in a manner that is both convenient and sustainable.

Accepted materials include leaves, grass clippings, garden debris, tree branches, and limbs. Please help keep the site clean and operational by depositing only approved yard waste materials.

A project to assess alternative flood mitigation strategies within the Honeoye Creek watershed is currently underway. As part of the study, environmental assessments are being conducted within the watershed. This past Tuesday, biologist Josh Collette conducted an inventory of plants and animals, soils, and the presence of wetland on properties along Mill Creek. No significant findings were identified that would preclude mitigation practices.

The Town is in the process of installing a new sign with an electronic message board, and we are seeking your input on the proposed location. A location has been staked out, with orange and black snow fencing in place in front of and slightly west of the bandstand. We welcome your constructive comments on the proposed location. Seniors morning at Town Hall. Recreation Specialist Jessica will instruct participants in making paper lanterns that look like stained glass. Stop in for the craft or to socialize. Refreshments provided.
