Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, military members and countless others who served and helped in the days that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We reflect. And we honor the strength, kindness and unity shown in the face of tragedy.

Today, our newest Cougars took on their first full day of kindergarten — with backpacks bigger than they are, brand-new routines to learn and a whole lot of adventure waiting for them. 🐾💛

There were probably a few butterflies. A few big smiles. Maybe even a few tears. But by the end of the day, one thing was certain:

They did it. 💛

🐾 AND JUST LIKE THAT… WE’RE BACK. 🐾

The first day of school is here, and the halls of HF-L have come to life once again.

Fresh notebooks. New teachers. New classes. Old friends. New friendships. Big goals. Little nerves. And a whole lot of Cougar Pride. 🖤💛

From first-day smiles and reunions with friends to our seniors taking their final first-day walks through the halls, today marked the beginning of another school year filled with possibilities.

There will be new things to learn, new memories to make, challenges to tackle and plenty of moments that will make this school year one to remember.

To our students: Be curious. Be kind. Be brave. Be you.

And while Day One is already behind us, there are 180 days of possibilities ahead.

Here’s to the start of an incredible 2026–27 school year!
