Good morning, our feeding program for Tuesday at Daystar in Crystal River and the 1st Lutheran Church in Inverness has been cancelled for this week. We will resume our regular feeding next Tuesday. Have a blessed day.

Trying something new today. It's Sunday. We have a busy week ahead for everyone. I'm wondering if you are an organization or someone who does something during the week to help our community, could you share it below?

There are always food pantries, giveaway events, special events, and more that we miss sharing because simply- we don't know! Or we see it too late to push out for the community. We certainly are not community news, but we would love to be bridging gaps that we can by making connections to share things that help Citrus County grow together. ❤️ mindset. 🎉

Please share below, and we'll add some things we know of as well. Together, we can make some lives better.

👋We are being told that this is the first of many nasty hot, horrible UV, just icky weather to roll in this weekend. 🥵

What a PERFECT time to remind you all we are collecting greatly needed items for our unhoused community. We are NOT collecting clothing or other items like that- specifically we need bug spray, sunscreen, tents, aloe, reusable water bottles, protein bars, sustainable protein foods, umbrellas, tarps, tents, aloe, sunglasses, wide brim/sports hats, bug cream, and any other items that would help protect you/family from the extreme heat. ❤️ From the babies and toddlers through the grandparents we have MANY to help protect and worry about through this wild weather ahead. 🥵

Shower to Empower Friday! Spread the word. 🎉🎉 Lives are changing every week! Volunteers are needed, but also, invite those struggling through life challenges who've landed without a home to stay in or are couch-surfing. Amazing services and love available at DayStar Citrus. ❤️🙏

Just a quick reminder that this event is happening tomorrow! We want to encourage everyone to come out, meet the candidates, talk to Barbara Venditto from Mid Florida Homeless Coalition, Inc. , listen, learn, and share your concerns.

Because this event specifically focuses on homelessness in Citrus County we would love for those involved with us throughout the community to come. Hope to see you there! 🫂
