Severe winter weather is expected across our area this weekend, including heavy snow, dangerously cold temperatures, and hazardous travel conditions. Please prepare NOW.

⚠️ OXYGEN-DEPENDENT RESIDENTS — VERY IMPORTANT:
If you or a loved one relies on oxygen:
✅ Make sure you have extra oxygen supplies available BEFORE the storm arrives.
✅ Keep oxygen equipment charged and ready (including backup batteries if applicable).
✅ Plan for the possibility of power outages and delays in emergency response due to snow/ice-covered roads.

🚑 Hominy EMS Notice:
During significant winter weather events, our EMS service may have limited oxygen supply availability, and response times may be delayed due to road conditions and snowfall accumulation.

Please check on:
• Elderly neighbors
• Oxygen-dependent residents
• Anyone who may not be able to prepare alone
Help ensure they have what they need before conditions worsen.

In 2025, Hominy EMS responded to a total of 832 calls for service, all of which were 911 emergency responses, representing a 6.0% increase from 2024 and a 13.2% increase over the past two years, reflecting continued growth in service demand across Hominy, Prue, and Wynona. We would like to sincerely thank the citizens of these communities for their continued support and trust, which allows our EMS team to remain dedicated to providing timely, high-quality emergency care.
