On May 10, 2026, the Hominy JOM Parent Committee hosted a hand game for students and their families. They also honored their princess, Jacee Lookout, and presented a new banner to her. Hominy JOM graduating seniors received recognition during the event, as well.
Jacee Lookout, Hominy JOM Princess, is a member of the Osage Nation. She will be a senior at Hominy High School, this fall. She is the daughter of Cherie Lookout and the granddaughter of Mongrain and Judi Lookout. She is a cheerleader for Hominy High School and a member of the Native American Student Association. Jacee attends the Nazarene Church and serves in the children’s ministry. She also serves as a cook for the Native American Church. Her academic awards include the Superintendent’s honor roll, an academic letter, state honor society, music, cinema, and algebra. She is proud to represent the Hominy JOM Program and greeted everyone in Osage, during the event.
A traditional hand game is a fun cultural activity for many Native American communities. The attendees enjoyed playing hand game and other activities like the pop-drinking contest and balloon pop contest. They won door prizes and ate a small meal at the conclusion of the event. Hominy JOM Parents hosted this hand game for the students.
