Siren Update #2 - As of the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10th the siren on West Main Street was repaired and working. The siren technician has had to order more parts for the siren out at the Sub-Station and hopes to be back out there early next week. The City is looking for a new home for the siren on 10th street. The siren technician believes the electric transformers in the area are interfering with the transmissions that operate the siren. Please know that we are working to get the sirens up and running as quickly as possible.

Siren Update - We currently only have two sirens that we can count on to work, the one at the Police Station and the one on the East side of town at Wild Country. The sirens located on 10th Street, at the Sub-Station, and in the park on West Main were examined by technicians today and re-tested and they again failed. They have been sent in for further repair. During severe weather, you will need to rely on your weather apps and your radio and tv meteorologists. As a reminder, there are no community storm shelters so, now would be a good time to make your individual shelter plans for severe weather.
