Homewood is just outside the city limits of Birmingham, Alabama, and is well known for its tradition of educational excellence for all students. The HCS school system works to "ed

ucate and empower every student to reach his or her unique potential," and endeavors to provide optimal learning environments that support customized instruction. With three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school and a K-12 enrollment of approximately 3,600, we offer a system enriched by diversity, tradition, community spirit, and vision. We take pride in the accomplishments of our school system and believe education and student learning are the most important responsibility of our schools and community.
