June 4 | Donuts with the Director
Stop by the Chamber office tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. for a casual conversation with Chamber Director Shay Gartman. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, learn more about Chamber initiatives, and enjoy a doughnut from while connecting with fellow members.

June 10 | Coffee & Connections at City Bowls
Join us from 8:00–9:00 a.m. for a relaxed morning of networking before the workday begins. Grab a cup of coffee, meet other local professionals, and make valuable business connections in a casual setting. Checkout City Bowls space in Edgewood!

June 11 | Ribbon Cutting at Pickleball Kingdom
Help us welcome one of Homewood’s newest businesses! Join us at 4:30 p.m. as we celebrate the grand opening of Pickleball Kingdom with an official ribbon cutting, followed by open play and the chance to tour their new facility.

June 16 | Membership Breakfast featuring Battle Republic
Start your morning with great food, networking, and an engaging presentation from Battle Republic. Learn how they are redefining team building through fitness-based experiences while connecting with fellow Chamber members and community leaders over breakfast by Happy Catering!

As we culminate our 100 year celebration later this year, one of the biggest events will be our Centennial Gala, October 15! Sponsorship opportunities are available now, and tickets will be available beginning mid-June. Businesses, organizations, and individuals can also support the event by donating auction items. Proceeds from the event will support the transformation of Miss Sims’ Garden into a more accessible and welcoming public space in the heart of Homewood.

Good Evening Homewood,

We have a lot to celebrate this summer, and I wanted to float an idea that’s been brought to me and get your thoughts.

As a way to celebrate Homewood’s 100th birthday and America’s 250th, we’ve been discussing a community-wide decorating contest called the Star-Spangled Homewood Patriotic Contest.

The idea is simple. Homes, businesses, and even entire streets could decorate in patriotic themes leading up to the Fourth of July. Categories could include Best Home, Best Business, Best Street, Best HWD100 Spirit, and more.

Instead of charging an entry fee, we’re considering just encouraging participants to make a very small voluntary donation to the Homewood Police Foundation, the Homewood Fire Foundation, or the Homewood Patriot Band. Anyone who donates would receive a yard sign (like the one below) to show their support for Homewood during this celebratory year.

The Council and our Mayor are supportive of the concept, and if there’s enough community interest, the City would help promote the effort and celebrate participants.

The goal is really about Homewood pride, bringing neighbors together, celebrating our nation’s birthday, and having some fun along the way. We all love decorating for Halloween and Christmas, so this special occasion feels like a perfect fit.

Did you miss our Comprehensive Plan meetings last week? If so, a 'Virtual Workshop' is now available! This is designed to mirror the in person meetings as closely as possible, using the same scenario stations and activities. Give a big Homewood welcome to ! 🐶🐾

We’re excited to welcome Alabama’s first small dog daycare to the Homewood community! Designed exclusively for dogs under 35 lbs, Top Dog Homewood provides a safe, open-play environment focused on socialization, gentle exercise, and lots of care for your little pups.

Whether your dog loves to play, make new friends, or just be spoiled all day long, this is such a fun addition to our community. We’re thrilled to have them in Homewood!

They are located downtown at 2804 Crescent Avenue Homewood, Alabama.

We had a wonderful time at our May Membership Breakfast ☀️☕️

Susann and Meredith with the Megan Montgomery Foundation shared an impactful message about healthy relationships, domestic violence awareness, and the importance of education and advocacy in our communities. We are so grateful for the meaningful work your foundation is doing to create change and support others.

It was great to be back at Brookdale and gather in their wonderful meeting space once again. We’re also so thankful to for another delicious breakfast that brought everyone together.

There’s nothing better than starting the morning with meaningful conversation, community connection, and fellowship with fellow members.
