On June 5, 2026, the Emergency Disaster Services office of the Diocese of Birmingham delivered food to families at "Rusk Mobile Home Park" and "Wares Mobile Home Park" in the Pinson area of Birmingham, Alabama.

On Friday, May 29, 2026, the Emergency/Disaster Services office met with staff from the offices of EMA (Emergency Management Agency) and the Homewood Fire Department to finalize the details of the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training course, which will begin on June 20 at our facilities located at 92 Oxmoor Rd., Birmingham, AL 35209.

* The course is bilingual (English and Spanish).
* The course is completely free.
* It is taught by professionals.
* Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.
