The citywide resident survey responses were overwhelmingly positive in nearly every category measured, including quality of life, public safety, schools, parks, and library services. Nearly 99% of residents surveyed rated Homewood as a good or excellent place to live, while 98% said it is a good or excellent place to raise children. This is a list of the streets that will be getting paved across Homewood throughout the rest of the year. This is part of our ongoing effort to maintain and improve road conditions across the City. You may see periodic lane closures or short delays as work moves from area to area.

Update - the road is now open.

🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

Oxmoor Road is currently blocked at the intersection of Oxmoor Road and College Avenue due to a fallen tree.

Crews from Alabama Power and the City of Homewood are on scene working to safely clear the tree and restore access. At this time, the roadway is impassable, and drivers should avoid the area and seek an alternate route.

We appreciate your patience while crews work to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible. Please use caution when traveling near the area and allow workers the space they need to complete the cleanup.
