What an unforgettable moment for MUJER, Inc.! Tonight, our Executive Director, Susan J. Rubio Rivera, was honored on the field during halftime at the University of Miami football game with the City National Bank UM Hometown Hero Award! 🙌🧡💚

For more than three decades, Susan has dedicated her life to advocating for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, uplifting families, and ensuring that those who need support have a place to turn for safety, healing, and hope.

This recognition is more than an award. It is a celebration of decades of compassion, resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our community.

A very special THANK YOU to United Way Miami for nominating Susan for this incredible honor! 🧡 Your recognition of her dedication and the impact of MUJER’s mission means so much to our entire organization.

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! 💜

Today, the MUJER team had the opportunity to visit Silver Vase Orchids and connect with their employees for an important conversation about domestic violence awareness, education, and the resources available to those who may need support.

Through meaningful conversations and interactive activities, we shared messages of hope, empowerment, and the importance of recognizing that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported. 💜

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Silver Vase Orchids for welcoming our team and creating space for these important conversations. Together, we can continue breaking the silence, raising awareness, and building a community free from violence.

We had a wonderful opportunity to connect with Turkey Point employees, share MUJER’s mission, and highlight the vital services we provide to survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Florida Power & Light (FPL) and the Turkey Point team for inviting us to be part of this meaningful event and for creating a space where local nonprofits can share their impact and inspire others to give back.
