While we appreciate everyone in the community who supports and volunteers at the garden, please DO NOT put any chemicals down on the grounds and beds.
We welcome the dandelions of early spring. A w**d to some doesn’t make it a w**d to all.
We keep our grass untouched intentionally until May to let the insects begin their new cycle.
We want the snakes and worms and birds and bunnies and bugs and dogs and kids and humans to have a safe chemical free zone.

No chemical is safe

We are thrilled to announce that your community garden is a recipient of the Lowe’s Hometown Community Grant. This week, employees from your local Waterfront Lowe’s will participate in volunteer work at the garden, focusing on multiple projects. We are truly humbled by this recognition.
