Tickets are almost gone for our upcoming Beekeeping Essentials Workshop - register now before it is too late!

Learn the basics of setting up your hive, the gear you’ll need, and how to confidently manage your colony! Whether you are an experienced beekeeper, or interested in learning more about the hobby, attend this workshop to learn what is required to start your own apiary. Everything you need to start, including the basic woodenware beehive boxes, tools, and protective gear, will be displayed and explained.

Rain Barrels In Your Backyard - June 10:
Learn how harvesting rainwater when it is abundant can help reduce pollution from stormwater runoff and provide a supply of free water for your garden during the dry season. Attendees are qualified to purchase a low-cost rain barrel to install at home. With the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department’s Rain Barrel Rebate Program, attendees qualify for a $50 rebate for barrels purchased through the program when they apply online at the WASD website. Attendees must be present for the entire workshop to qualify for the program rebate.
