Please join us on Wednesday June 17th at 10am for our second Community Gathering. We will have vendors from north Louisiana ready to give you information on a wide variety of programs that may benefit you or a loved one. We will have door prizes and a free lunch. You can register online or by calling Athens Village Hall at 318-258-5275.

The Homer Water System has issued an immediate boil advisory due to water supply problems that have caused questionable microbiological quality. Consumers are advised to boil their water for one full minute before consumption or food preparation until the advisory is rescinded.

Our office will be closed Monday due to the weather and roads. We will update tomorrow on whether or not we will be open Tuesday.

Due to the upcoming forecast, if you ride public transportation, please know that we will do the best we can to keep drivers and riders as safe as possible. It is a possibility that we will have to alter transportation on Monday and even Tuesday. We will make phone calls to the ones we have on our schedule if the roads warrant the cancellation of transportation. Please stay safe and stay home unless you have an emergency.
