Spafford Firefighters participated in Skaneateles Fire Departments annual Labor Day Parade yesterday. It was a beautiful day for a parade. Marching in this parade is a tradition, and in showing our appreciation for Skaneateles at being one of our mutual aid partners. Spafford Fire Department congratulates Skaneateles on another successful Labor Day Field day.

Final goodbye.

Today our 2003 Saulsbury Typhoon Engine left us headed for Texas. Engine 1 served the Town of Spafford for 23 years. It was the first enclosed cab engine for Spafford Fire Department, and the first CAFS engine in the district. It responded on many fires and incidents both within the district and mutual aid to our neighbors. It will be a legacy in the departments history books.

After several weeks of driver operation and pump training. Spafford Fire Firefighters officially put their new Engine 1 into service. The engine is a 2026 Spartan 1500 gpm/750 gallons of water with CAFS. It's replacing a 2003 Salisbury engine.
