We welcome our 2024 members: Doug Cheek, Alex and Anelia Chambers, Yvonne Irvin, Mellisa Dalton, Tabor McCoy, Henry David Banks, Gene Todd, Jim Cantrell, Michelle Collins, Jason Spivey, Jerry and Susan Blalock, Rick and Dawn Billingslea, Ann Smith, Carrie Holcomb, Randy and Cynthia Cochran.
If you would like to continue your membership or become a new member, membership is $20 for a single person,or $25 for a couple. Membership gives you access to Ancestry.com., and to our extensive local book library. You can bring your dues to the museum on Thursdays, come to our next meeting March 3, or mail your membership to p. O. Box 473, Homer Ga. Be sure to include member name (s), address, phone No., and email address. We welcome all who are interested in learning about and preserving the amazing history of our County.

The 2023 Historic Homer Haunted Walking Tour will be Friday, Oct 20th and Saturday, Oct 21st. Tours will begin at the Historic Court House/ Museum in Homer, GA. You can get tickets at the Courthouse porch. Tours will begin at 6:30, 7:00 and at 7:30.
Tickets are $10 - 12 and under are free.

The Banks County Historical Society meeting will be held tomorrow (Monday) at 7:00. Jim Betz will be our speaker. He is going to talk about Liberty Hill Church. Everyone is invited.

The Banks County Historical Society will be having our monthly meeting tomorrow (7/3/23}at 7:00 at the Historic Courthouse/Museum in Homer. We will have an ice cream social, and Rick Billingslea will be our guest speaker. Everyone is invited. We hope to see you all there.

Our June Historical Society Meeting will be held Monday June 5th at 7:00. The meeting will be at the Banks County Historical Museum.
Our speaker will be Warren Jones, Historian of the Lewis Bevel Jones Family Reunion that meets annually at the Hickory Flat Methodist Church, June 24th this year.
Everyone is welcome.

The Banks County Historical Society will have our annual Christmas Party on Monday, Dec. 5th at 7:00 at the Historic Courthouse. Please bring snacks to share. Everyone is invited. Merry Christmas!

The Banks County Historical Society will have our monthly meeting at the Historic Courthouse Museum Monday, November 7th at 7:00. Our speaker will be Jim Betz. Mr. Betz does the Habersham Haunted Tour. He has also written a book "Stories from the Hills, songs from the Valleys" Northeast Georgia History. Everyone is invited to join us this Monday.

Tonight is our last Historic Homer Haunted Tour this year. We have tours at 6:30, 7:00 and possibly 7:30 if needed. No reservations needed. 10 dollars per person, under 13 free. It as a family friendly event. We would love to see you all tonight at the tour.
