Today in Art Time, our young library patrons created some dinosaur-themed watercolor paintings. They got to experiment with white crayons and use the crayon wax to create a water-resistant pattern on their papers before adding the color!

Happy first week of Summer Reading!

Monday: Art Time at 10:30 am. Our Special Guest Reader at lunch time (11:30-12:00) will be Shelly from WCSR.

Tuesday: Quiet Time will happen from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The lights will be lower and the library will have a quiet atmosphere. Our Special Guest Reader at lunch will be a library staff member. STEM Time at 12:00 pm. Kids Book Club at 2:00 pm. There are only ten copies of the book available, but kids get to keep the book.

Wednesday: Bookworm Workout at 10:30 am. Our Special Guest Readers at lunch will be cast members from the Magical Realm Fantasy Faire. D&D Club will start at 12:30 pm and is RSVP only.

Thursday: Quiet Time will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Our Special Guest Readers at lunch will be Holly Blashfield and Ben Woodring. Unplug at 12:00 pm.

Friday: Playgroup at 10:30 am. Our Special Guest Reader at lunch will be a library staff member. Bugs on Wheels will be in the library at 12:30 pm.

Saturday: Foam Party at 10:00 am behind the library. Please bring clothes and shoes you are comfortable getting wet in, sunscreen, and a towel!

ALL WEEK:
Summer Reading Sign-Up continues until June 30th. Sign up, turn in minutes, and win prizes all summer!

Our Summer Reading Sign-Up Party was a roaring good time! We were blown away by the number of people we had sign up for Unearth a Story 2026. In just one day, over 190 people signed up for our Summer Reading Program (which is the ALL TIME HIGHEST number of first-day sign-ups!). Thank you ALL for coming out and spending the afternoon with us! We can't wait for what the rest of summer will bring 🦖

We want to say a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to the Maynard Family McDonald's for their massive contribution to our Summer Reading Program! They have generously donated two additional bikes, some sweet treat cards for weekly prizes, AND they have continued our weekly McDonald's Happy Meal bookmarks. We are so thankful that they value our little library so highly! Thank you again to the Maynard Family McDonald's!

A Pteranodon, a T-Rex, and a Triceratops walk into the library…

All jokes aside, when your kid signs up for our Summer Reading Program, they’ll get to pick a free mini-bag. These bags are perfect for all of their summer travel belongings, from sunglasses to cellphones. Each bag also contains a very cute mystery bookmark, which they can use to log the number of books they’ve read throughout the summer!

Bags are first-come, first-serve. We only have 50 of each design, so stop in this Friday, May 29th at 11:00 am to make sure your kiddo gets one!
