NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
105 S. WHITE ST., HOMER, ILLINOIS
Notice is hereby given that the Village of Homer is accepting bids for the purchase of 105 S. White St., Homer, Illinois, said property being currently owned by the Village. Bids for purchase will be accepted from the posting of this advertisement until 5 p.m. on September 14th, 2026. Bids will be opened and considered at the Board of Trustees meeting on September 14th, 2026, at 7:00p.m. at Village Hall located at 500 E. Second Street, Homer, Illinois.
The Board shall consider bids for purchase of the following tract of land:
The West Half of Lot 6 in Block 2 of White’s Addition to the Village of Homer, as per plat recorded in Plat Book “A” at Page 272, situated in the County of Champaign and the State of Illinois.
Commonly Known As: 105 S. White Street, Homer, Illinois 61849.

Per the Board of Trustees of the Village of Homer, bids should be submitted to the Village in writing to 500 E. Second Street, Homer, Illinois 61849, or otherwise via email at [email protected]. Any bids submitted for purchase MUST comply with the following parameters, and the submission of bids constitutes acknowledgement of additional terms concerning the eventual sale of the parcel:
- Bids must specify the name, address, phone number, and email address of the bidder.
- The minimum bid amount for the subject parcel is Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($6,500.00).
- Bidders shall confirm in writing the availability of sufficient funds.
- The sale shall include customary prorations with customary title insurance to be provided by the Village at closing all as recommended by the Village Attorney.
- The Village shall retain the right to reject or accept any and all bids and the Village may also consider the qualifications of any bidder.
- To the extent the bidder proposes a certain use for the property the Village can consider such proposal in accepting a particular bid even if it results in approving a lower purchase price.
- No bids will be considered approved by the Village until its approval of an Ordinance approving a purchase contract specifying the terms of the sale.
