On Tuesday, Mayor Joshua Garcia led a campaign event for Healey and Lt. Gov. Kimberly Driscoll with his endorsement of Healey’s bid for reelection, noting that their campaign promises have been kept.
“They have delivered on every single one,” Garcia said.
He continued “But what I’ve seen from the Governor’s administration, the partnership she’s built with cities and towns across this Commonwealth, including Holyoke…That is what truly impresses me the most. That’s what leadership looks like. It’s not just about solving all the problems. It’s about how you work together with people in partnership and respond when challenges appear...not just with words, but with action.”
Endorsing Healey at the event were newly elected Easthampton Mayor Salem Derby, Holyoke City Council President Tessa Murphy-Romboletti and state Reps. Patricia Duffy, D-Holyoke, and Brian Ashe, D-Longmeadow.
