On this September 11, Holyoke gathered at the headquarters of the Holyoke Fire Department to remember and reflect on the lives lost 25 years ago during the attack of our nation. Holyoke remembers and we stand united.

Thank you to the Holyoke Fire Department, the Holyoke Police Department, Cataldo Ambulance, our State Representative Pat Duffy, Holyoke City Councilor‘s, our City Clerk, city employees , and members of the public for joining on this remembrance ceremony.

On September 7, 2026 at about 12:50pm, Cataldo Ambulance was dispatched to the area of 715 Westfield Road in Holyoke for a report of an individual who had overturned an ATV at an unknown distance into a wooded area.

Cataldo paramedics, with assistance from the Holyoke Fire Department, were able to access the patient and begin treatment at the scene. Due to the remote location and nature of the incident, additional resources were requested, including the Western Mass Regional Technical Rescue Team (WMTRT) and LifeStar Air Medical.

Through the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, the patient was successfully extricated from the trail and transferred to a Cataldo ambulance. The patient was subsequently transported to Baystate Medical Center with the LifeStar crew accompanying Cataldo personnel during transport.

Cataldo Ambulance extends its appreciation to the Holyoke Police Department, Holyoke Fire Department, WMTRT, and Life Star Air Medical for their collaboration and assistance in safely reaching, treating, and transporting the patient.

Thanks to Supervisor Anthony R., our Holyoke Employee Orientation will now include a comprehensive overview of Holyoke, its landmarks and traffic patterns. This program is designed to train our Paramedics and EMT’s in recognizing the fastest, safest route to our calls. With its mountain, river, canals, highways, trails, mall, parades, road races, festivals, and unique neighborhoods, Holyoke presents our crews with a wide range of challenges each day. This type of preparation is necessary to keep our crews ready for whatever the day brings them. Thank you Anthony.
