HCC Adult Learning Center
Holyoke Community College Adult Learning Center is an evening HiSET program (High School Equivalency), that prepares students to take the HiSET ir GED test as an entryway to college, workforce training and/or employment. The program inspires and empowers adults to reconnect with the joys and benefits of learning and to reach their highest potential in school, at work, and

HiSET Testing
HCC provides an opportunity to earn your high school equivalency certificate through the HiSET test. The tests are online, though a paper test option is available. Sample questions and practice tests are available to help you prepare. Test takers can also access career counseling and learn more about furthering their education. www.hcc.edu/hiset

Ludlow Area Adult Learning Center
Ludlow Area Adult Learning Center helps adult immigrants and refugees learn English and work towards their educational and career goals. We offer free morning and evening ESOL classes in levels from true-beginner to high-intermediate. Our students range in age from 17 to 70+ and come from over 30 countries! www.hcc.edu/ludlowcenter

Gill Technology Center
Gill Technology Center offers free and low-cost basic computer and software classes in English and Spanish. It also provides free lab space to the general public for career exploration, Accuplacer preparation, and preparation for education and workforce training. www.hcc.edu/gill

Transitions to College & Careers
Transition to College & Careers (TCC) is a free non-credit program offered both days and evenings that helps adult students 18+ prepare for college and identify a career path. The program includes intensive academic preparation in English reading and writing, math, study strategies and computers in a college context. We offer college navigation, career advising, and tutoring in an environment conducive to learning. TCC is a collaboration between the Community Education Project (CEP) and Holyoke Community College (HCC). www.hcc.edu/tcc

What an afternoon!

Yesterday, HCC Adult Learning Programs graduate, Jodie Alencar, was one of two students across the state who received the Massachusetts Coalition for Adult Education 2026 Outstanding Student award. "Jodie is an HCC Adult Learning Programs student and "super alum" of ESOL, adult education, and BCS opportunities: Ludlow Area Adult Learning Center, MassSTEP ESOL Nurse Aide, Transition to College & Careers, Medical Interpreting, and Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Adult and Community Learnings Services unit Student Ambassador leader." Join us in congratulating Jodie on this amazing honor.
