Today, we pause to remember. 🇺🇸
Memorial Day is more than the start of summer—it is a day to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

At 3:00 PM local time, we invite you to join the National Moment of Remembrance by taking one minute of silence to reflect, honor, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Remember. Honor. Never Forget. ❤️🤍💙

UPDATE: As of 10:40 am, we appear to have our services restored and are now able to successfully record documents again. We hope the issue is fully resolved and that we will have no more issues between now and the implementation of our new recording system in July. As always, we will update if anything changes!

⚠️ Recording Service Update – Register of Deeds Office ⚠️

Unfortunately, we are once again experiencing system issues with our current recording vendor. At this time, we are unable to record documents either electronically or at the counter until the vendor is able to identify and resolve the issue.

We understand how frustrating and inconvenient these continued disruptions are for our customers — and honestly, for our office staff as well. We share your frustration with the recurring outages and the lack of timely support being provided.

Our office is very much looking forward to transitioning to our new recording vendor in July, which we hope will greatly improve the reliability and stability of our recording services moving forward.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we wait for our current vendor to restore service. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mother figures in our community. 💐

Today, we celebrate the many forms motherhood can take — moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, adoptive moms, pet moms, those grieving the loss of a child or mother, and those carrying the quiet ache of wanting to become a mom someday.

For some, today is joyful. For others, it may be complicated or bittersweet. No matter where you are in your journey, you are seen, valued, and loved.

Wishing comfort, love, and appreciation to every heart that nurtures and cares for others. 🩷

🚨 Recording Service Update – Register of Deeds Office 🚨

We are currently unable to record documents at the counter or through eRecording due to ongoing technical issues that began yesterday with our current vendor.

We understand how important timely recording is and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this disruption may cause. At this time, we are working closely with the vendor’s support team, but resolution is dependent on their system and response.

Due to the frequency of issues experienced with this vendor, our office has taken steps to improve service moving forward. We have signed a contract with a new recording vendor, with implementation anticipated in June or July. We will share additional details as that transition approaches.

Our hope is to have services restored before the end of the day, and we will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

🍀📜 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from your Register of Deeds Office! 📜🍀

While we may not be filing pots of gold, we are in the business of preserving valuable records every day! 😉

A little St. Patrick’s Day history for you: St. Patrick is said to have used the shamrock ☘️ to explain the concept of the Trinity—making it one of the earliest examples of “visual aids” in teaching (we appreciate good documentation around here!).

Fun facts to brighten your day: 📌 The first St. Patrick’s Day parade was actually held in the United States—not Ireland! 📌 The color green became associated with the holiday due to Ireland’s nickname, “The Emerald Isle.” 📌 Four-leaf clovers are considered lucky because they’re so rare—kind of like finding that perfectly indexed record on the first try!

Today, we’re celebrating a little luck, a lot of history, and the importance of preserving stories—past and present.

Wishing you a safe, festive, and lucky St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀✨
