We have been getting calls related to the painting of addresses on curbs. While we do want our community to display their address clearly for quick identification in case of an emergency, we do not endorse painting curbs for that purpose. The fire department does offer Delhi Township homeowners free reflective address signs. If you are interested give the fire department a call 517-694-3327.

What:
Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees possible.
Where:
Portions of south central and southwest Michigan.
When:
From Saturday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
Impacts:
Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
Summary:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

[MON 3pm Update:] scattered thunderstorms with torrential rain, small hail, and deadly lightning are forming to our west. Expect that activity to move in through early evening.

In addition it’s possible for some of the storms to come with damaging winds!

Stay weather aware - it’ll be done by sunset.

***Update***

[THU 8:30AM} A warm and slightly humid day is expected with temperatures climbing into the low-mid 80s. No rain is expected through sunset.

After sunset it is possible a thunderstorm pops up, but the main concern comes with a front that moves through in the 10pm to 1am timeframe (see the forecast for around 11pm in the pic.) A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to come out of southwest Michigan with an insane amount of lightning, and the potential for hail and high winds. The tornado threat isn't zero, but coming so long after sunset helps keep our chances lower.

We'll be watching the storms as they cross the lake pretty closely this evening. If the timing moves up a bit and they get here a little earlier, then there may be a little more concern, but right now it looks like hail would be the primary threat along with some gusty winds.
