If you are looking at your FMR calendar for this month and are wondering why that picture was chosen, it is because the picture that was sent to the Printer looked like this. My company Contact and I were surprised to find out (too late) that the recently installed press printed pictures a bit darker than the previous one. Hence, we have the present November 2025 picture. Sorry Nancy.😌

The Friends of McGilvray Road fund raiser, the 2026 Wall Calendar is now available. ​If you enjoy the McGilvray Road trail please consider supporting our work. All work is done by our volunteers. Monies go to purchase materials, supplies, and to defray expenses. The calendars are still available for a donation of $10 each despite higher printing costs. Any additional money as a donation would be MOST appreciated.
You will find calendars in Holmen at: Rudy's Feed and Seed --Ace Hardware--and The Grind coffee shop. Call Ruth Scholze at 608-797-9391 for more information. Thank you!

At the annual meeting in October, the Friends of McGilvray Road Board of Directors approved the installation of su***de prevention signage to be posted in the parking lots, in an effort to provide assistance to those who may be struggling. In December, the La Crosse Area Su***de Prevention Initiative board approved the purchase of two signs for the lots. These signs display the su***de and crisis prevention hotline number, along with the message "Your Life Matters".

News from Bridgette:

"It's July and time to start putting together the FMR 2025 calendar! After all, 2024 is more than half over. Regardless, I am looking for interesting photos to include. Because of the shape of the calendar, the photos need to be in landscape mode. Also, because the calendar features the Mcgilvray trail, it is preferable that the pictures include part of the trail or of a bridge. If you have pictures that are from off of the trail, I need to know where the subject is located relative to a bridge. Summer pictures are easy to come by, so pictures of other seasons are really appreciated! Please email pictures to me at [email protected]. THANKS!"
