Holmdel First Aid Squad Holmdel First Aid Squad is an all volunteer organization answering all 9-1-1 medical emergencies 24/7 Our squad is always looking for new members.

We are an all-volunteer team of EMTs, Drivers, and high school aged Cadets who have the desire to help the residents of Holmdel in their time of need. Our organization was founded in 1969 with the belief that volunteers do a better, more compassionate job of caring for the sick or injured. The trained members of Holmdel First Aid respond to all kinds of calls for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

, and 365 days a year. We take pride in our ability to save lives and comfort those who need treatment and transport to an area hospital. Our all-volunteer force never bills for our services or charge for our transports. We rely on the generous donations from our businesses and residents to operate. Our squad is as diverse as the residents who inhabit our township. With members from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and age groups, we forge a strong bond to commit only the best emergency medical care. Our squad responded to over 1,600 calls for help last year. Many times we are responding to more than one emergency at a time. If you can commit to the time and have the desire to help, we will make sure you are trained to handle all types of emergencies. We invite you to tour our facilities & ambulances, meet our members, and join our squad family.

Are you a high schooler (16+) looking to make a difference in your community? Do you have an interest in learning about emergency medicine? Join us (8/26) at 7 PM at our Crawfords Corner Road building for an info session about our Cadet program! We are currently accepting applications for our program, which will begin in October for the 2026-2027 year. Prospective Cadets and their families are invited to attend! An additional info session will be held 9/9 for those who cannot attend.

On Sunday morning just before 7am, Holmdel First Aid Squad was dispatched to mile-marker 113.9 southbound on the Garden State Parkway for an overturned motor vehicle crash. Ambulance 1857 and Chief 1850 responded immediately from our Crawford’s Corner building. Upon arrival, EMTs found an SUV on its side with occupants self-extricating prior to squad arrival. Occupants were transported to a local area hospital for further medical evaluation.

On Friday afternoon, Holmdel First Aid Squad was dispatched to a business on Route 35 for a reported vehicle vs. pole with wires down. Ambulance 1856 responded and provided EMS support while on scene. Luckily no injuries were reported.

Last night, Holmdel First Aid Squad provided standby EMS support during the Bell Works fireworks event. We had our entire fleet, including all four ambulances, three first responder vehicles, and rescue extrication truck on scene and available for support if needed. Thankfully, there was no need for EMS at the event. Many of our members and their families attended to view the fireworks and enjoy our annual ice cream party. This week marks the end of the graduation ceremonies for our senior Cadets. Three HFAS ambulances provided standby support at Thursday’s Holmdel High School graduation ceremony, and our crews were there to support our seniors. At Holmdel First Aid Squad’s May monthly business meeting, we welcomed representatives from the Middletown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to present one of our Cadets with a DAR Youth Leadership Medal. Congratulations to Tatiana, who was recognized for demonstrating the qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism as a Cadet!
