There is a Tornado Watch in effect for our area until 7pm tonight. This means that weather conditions are favorable for the formation of tornados. It doesn’t mean a tornado has been spotted or is imminent. Think of a tornado watch as an early alert. It’s a signal to stay alert and prepare. Based on these latest graphics below, the greatest threat for a tornado is to our west, southwest. That said, we can still expect gusty winds up to 40-50 mph that can damage trees and cause wire/power issues.

Latest from the NWS. Temps will plummet into the low teens tonight and it will remain extremely cold for the next week. Snow should start late Saturday night or early Sunday morning and continue through Monday mid-day or early afternoon. They are still predicting 12"-18". However, on Sunday there will be the chance for mixed sleet and freezing rain which could bring down snow totals. In addition, the mixed precip can cause damage to trees and wires, so power outages are possible. Please stay off the roads and keep your street clear of any vehicles so that the roads can be plowed curb to curb. Remember to dig out hydrants on your property. Stay safe.
