Friends the storm is still dumping significant heavy snow in our area, visibility is still low .The travel ban has not been lifted, it is extended until noon, even then please stay home unless you ABSOLUTELY must go out.
Also, when shoveling please use extra care and go slow, please so not over exert yourself.
There are downed trees, some on power lines do not approach, call JCP&L

Contingents of JCP&L internal and contractor crews are reporting to the lineshops are 7:00 am and will respond to scenes and conduct manual work on electrical equipment as safely as possible throughout the day. Estimated times of restoration will be updated to reflect more accurate times of restoration as the restoration efforts progress.

Blizzard Warning & Nor'easter Update:

The Office of Emergency Management is closely monitoring an incoming nor'easter expected to bring high winds and significant snowfall starting Sunday and lasting through Monday. Monmouth will be under a Blizzard Warning beginning 10am Sunday (2/22) through 6pm Monday (2/23). Forecasts suggest we could see between 12 and 20 inches of snow with potential drifting and wind gusts of up to 55mph.

Please stay home and off the roads if you can during the storm, especially Sunday night through Monday.

To help our DPW teams clear the roads safely and efficiently and our emergency first responders reach homes in case of an emergency, please take note of the following mandatory changes and safety requests:

- Most towns also have mandatory Parking Ban: All vehicles must be removed from Township streets by 12:00 PM this Sunday. Parking on streets during a snow emergency is prohibited to allow for plow access. Sand with garbage cans.

- In accordance with most Township ordinances, all sidewalks must be cleared within 12 daylight hours after the end of a storm.

- "Adopt a Hydrant": If there is a fire hydrant adjacent to your property, please help our Fire Department by clearing a 3-foot path around it. Your help ensures our first responders can act quickly in an emergency.

UPDATE:

*** Roadways Reopened - Repairs Made by JCP&L***

Holmdel Road is open between Roberts Road and Schanck Road.

Line Road near Delwood Drive is also open to traffic.

The Holmdel Police Department is aware of storm-related hazards, caused by high winds, throughout the town. Our officers and public works crews are monitoring the situation and working to keep the roadways safe.

- Holmdel Road is closed between Schanck and Roberts for power lines down. Power is out in the area, as a result, traffic lights at Roberts/Holmdel and Schanck/Hwy 34 are out.

- Line Road is closed between Wigwam and Dellwood for wires down. JCP&L on location.

Please remember:
-Do not move or drive around traffic cones or barricades, they are there for your safety
-Stay clear of downed wires and fallen trees; assume all wires are live
-Allow extra travel time and use caution when driving in these conditions
