As part of the 2026 Oakland County Health Division Beach Monitoring Program…



The following beaches are closed:

Groveland Oaks County Park - Paradise Beach on Stewart Lake in Groveland Township due to elevated E. coli levels: 398 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean


These results are above the allowable limit for E. coli for daily sampling. The allowable limit for daily sampling is 300 MPN/100 ml.



OCHD will post a closure sign today. Samples will be collected Tuesday (6/23) with results available Wednesday (6/24).



Sample results will be available on the EGLE BeachGuard web site. Closure information will be available on the BeachGuard and OCHD Beaches web sites.

There will be a Special Meeting for the Groveland Township Board of Trustees on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 at 11am.

The meeting will be held at the Groveland Township Office Building at 4695 Grange Hall Rd, Holly, Mi 48442.

The purpose of this meeting is to address the following:

2. Potential Property Purchase in Tech Park

When: June 16th
Departure from Township: 11am
Return to Township Offices: 4pm

[A message to Groveland Township]
As I am sure you are aware, last night we had an incident in Orion Township which resulted in investigators apprehending the suspect in Groveland Township following a short pursuit.

I wanted to make you aware that members of our investigative teams may be present in the area over the coming hours conducting follow-up investigative activities and canvassing for additional evidence related to the incident. While you may notice an increased law enforcement presence, please be assured there is no known threat to the public at this time.
