The computers are down in the Campground Office for the immediate future. The check-in process will be a little different this weekend - we will have staff available to assist you, but check-ins will occur via Yellow Phone for the most part.

We can only do cash or check transactions at this time as well. Sorry for the inconvenience.

With summer winding down, it is time to remind everyone that hunting and trapping season is on the horizon. The entirety of Seven Lakes State Park (yes, even the trails) is open to hunting with the exception of safety zones. Safety zones are a 450-foot perimeter around a building or structure that is/could be occupied.

Starting September 1st, Canada Goose season opens. Seven Lakes has a special wildlife conservation order for Goose Hunting that reads: there shall be no taking of waterfowl from two days before Labor Day through Labor Day.

Some other important dates to remember regarding hunting:

Sept 15th - small game opens (guns or bows)
Oct 1st - Bow season opens (deer)
Nov 15th - Gun season (for deer) opens

This is not all the seasons by any means, but these are the most popular. If you have any questions regarding hunting and trapping in the park, please reach out to the park office at 248-634-7271. Paving has wrapped up early at the Big Seven Boat Launch and it is now back open for use! Please use caution if using the launch as there is still construction equipment on site.

The Big Seven Boat Launch will be CLOSED to all traffic starting Monday, August 24th to Friday, August 28th to repair the damaged sections of the road that occurred during construction. This repair is only for the damaged sections, not a full re-paving. As always, we will give notice if the timeline changes. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please be aware that as summer has started to wind down, the beach concessionaire, Simple Adventures, is reducing their hours to being open ONLY SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS from 12-6pm and LABOR DAY from 12-6pm.

Due to circumstances out of our control, the paving at the Big Seven Boat Launch has been delayed. The boat launch will now be open for the week. Once we have new dates for paving, we will notify everyone. Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience.
